Lexa Doig

Lexa Doig portrays the role of the Andromeda Ascendant, the starship’s sophisticated artificial intelligence system.

Doig can also be seen as Rachel Sanders in Force Four Entertainment, Inc.’s mini-series Human Cargo. The story follows the separate lives of several very different people on a collision course in this ever-shrinking modern world. Refugees, terrorists, frustration and hopelessness fuel this heated story of a very scary and all too possible post-9/11 scenario.

An accomplished actress, Doig has built an extensive resume that includes numerous appearances on feature film, television and stage. Prior to joining Andromeda, Doig starred in a number of projects for both the small and big screen including Jason X, Code Name Phoenix, Tekwar and No Alibi. Doig also appeared in CIS: The New Professional and Traders. In addition, she was featured as a guest star in various popular television series including The Chris Isaak Show, Gene Roddenberry’s Earth: Final Conflict and FX: The Series.

Doig’s theater credits include Romeo and Juliet and Arsenic and Old Lace.

In a recent interview with Michael Shanks Online, Michael revealed that Lexa is due to deliver her second child (his third) in March and he is taking time off at the end of that month to be there in support of Lexa. Congratulations to Michael, Lexa, Tatiana and Mia!
